| NOTE: I just created a design blog! You can find it here: [link] I have been browsing DeviantART for inspiration during the last 5 or 6 years. I finally decided that it was time to join, post some work, and get some criticism/feedback/publicity. I am self-tought via tutorials and experimentation, have been into graphics for about 10 years (only 'serious' for about 3-5). I'm hoping to display what I'm capable of, improve my skill set through interraction with others in the community, and hopefully find some people to collaborate with (I have many concepts that I am unable to create, which I would love to see come to fruition). CAREER GOALS: I am persuing the niche of Advertising/Marketing Media Design. I hope to create commercials, television and movie title screens, magazine ads, internet ads, product packaging, CD covers, brochures, flyers, identity packages, graphical user interfaces, website graphics, icons, etc. I also enjoy working with 3D game worlds - BSP, textures, and lighting - and would love to get some jobs doing so. EDUCATION GOALS: B.S. - Digital Art & Design M.S. - Visual Communications Personal Interests: - 2D and 3D Typography - Corporate Identity - User Interfaces - Website Design (not development) - 3D Logos - Vectors - Digital Painting - 3D 'Techno-Esque' Wallpapers - Digital Art (such as Image Compositing/Manipulation and 3D Modelling/Texturing) - Motion Graphics (such as Title Screens and Commercials) - 3D works involving Fluids, Particles, and Lighting - Modern trends such as Flourishes, Arrows, and Circle/Line Art - Photo Touch-Up (IE professional 'Air Brushing' and 'Reshaping' techniques) - Typeface Design - Photography I currently only use Macromedia Fireworks and Windows - looking to make the transition to Photoshop and Mac. UPDATE: I now use Adobe Photoshop CS4, Mac Snow Leopard, and a Wacom Tablet. I plan on getting a Cyntiq after I graduate. I am always very open to advice - it's pretty much the reason I'm here My goal is to be very humble and open-minded, and to let others help me get from where I currently am to where I am going <3 |
